Oooh, bad narrative on my part. I, too, would have been overjoyed if I was allowed to keep my underpants up, especially when getting it in front of some friend's little sister, but I still would have held the spanker in contempt thinking that they were incompetent parents because all good parents spanked bare bottom. Like you, I was unfortunate enough (in my childish estimation) that all the adults that were ever in charge of me were good parents (ahem!)
