Hon, I don't mind you asking at all.

I'm as the old saying goes, "Southern Born and Southern Bred and when I die I'll be Southern Dead. Yes I was born in the Southern United States in 1988 which makes me Thirty-Eight as of this Month. So I'm a late eighties through two thousands child. I'm the oldest of three with a brother who is two years younger and a sister who is five years younger. I graduated in 06 and married my childhood sweetheart Mark in 2009 literally two weeks before my twenty-first birthday. I have four children. We adopted our oldest as an adult back in December. she is twenty-four. My oldest son is fourteen, my younger daughter is twelve going on twenty-one and my youngest son is ten. I have one grandchild, a little girl who is five and will be turning six shortly. She is the daughter of the woman we adopted. I'm a stay at home/work from home Momma so I get to spend a lot of time with the kids.

There's the abridged version of my biography (laughs).

I really enjoy sharing my stories in this forum and there have been a couple of others as well. I apologize, but I've never heard of Handprints. I"ve always had a strong interest in creative writing. I took classes in High School including an Advance Creative Writing elective class in my Senior year. You had to take a nine week class in Creative Writing and have an A in that class to qualify for ACW. Our final grade in ACW was a writing assignment. In addition to studying Creative Writing you literally had the nine week period to do a writing project. It could be a short story, graphic novel, a book of poetry or songs, etc.. aimed towards students grades K-3. Your project would be graded and entered into a contest against the projects of other students who had the class that year and the winning project would get a small cash award and certificate. But the best of all their project would be published by the school system and placed in the school libraries for the kids to be able to check out and read. The winner would also be given a dozen copies to do with as they please. I gave mine to family and friends, plus kept a copy for myself. I wrote a short story titled "The Little Girl Who Lived In The Middle Of The Lane". It was a semi-autobiography about a girl named "Amie Lynn" from age four to twelve. She was an adventurous little girl who manage to get in some trouble sometimes. I literally used some of the same experiences I've been sharing in the forum and some other stories not related to spankings in anyway. It was entirely kid friendly so even though there were a couple of chapters where Amie got spanked, there was no real detail of the spankings. I avoided talking about the abusive spankings I got from my Granny and the Assistant Principal, but I did have a chapter about a friend who was abused. I also talked about the death of my Papaw Paul, who was my Daddy's daddy. That happened when I was five and it broke my heart as well as Momma's because he was like the Daddy she never had. In spite of a couple of emotionally heavy chapters, most of the book was about the trouble I used to get into. My Grandbaby loves for me to read chapters from that book to her and the first time they read some of it at Kindergarten, she got all excited telling everybody, "My Gramma wrote that book!" Yeah I was the co-winner of that contest. The other winner was an artist and writer who wrote a Graphic Novel and illustrated it. Today he works for one of the Comic Book Companies, I'm not at liberty to say which one. But I can say, my boys love his work.

Maybe one day, I'll write another book when the fancy takes me. I don't know. Right now I've got my hands full with being a Wife, Momma, and Gramma and quite honestly loving it.

Sweetie, I have a bad habit of going on and on sometimes and it looks like I've done that here instead of simply answering your questions. I gotta go, my Grandbaby wants me to read to her before she goes to sleep.

If you have anything you want to ask, please feel free to do so.

Sonya
