This thread has gone on a long time. I know my parents did not derive any enjoyment out of spanking us in the way presumptively meant by the question. Of course in a given moment while they were spanking us out of frustration there may have been the sort of satisfaction one gets when one is doing anything difficult and frustrating and working out that frustration, but probably then only fleetingly and not so much "enjoyment" as much as "release" of the anger energy.

But the bottom line is this: ANYONE who enjoys spanking on a sexual level and then spanks their kids is committing sexual assault.
