My mother used to say that she hated having to spank me so she was going to make sure she didn't have to do it again anytime soon. I think she pretty much followed through on that. If she got any enjoyment out of it, I think it was probably from a job well done and the satisfaction of knowing I wouldn't be repeating whatever I had done to earn the spanking. I know she always used reason and logic as much as was effective. On the other hand, when she did feel that she had to resort to spanking, she made sure to finish the job.
