I knew that some other kids got spanked with implements, while my sister and I never were.

I never asked why, though, because I didn't want to give my parents ideas.

Once I saw my mother threatening my sister with a spanking if she didn't behave, while waving a hairbrush in front of her face. But I don't know that she ever used it on my sister and never on me.

Our dad thought mom's bare bottom hand spankings weren't as effective with my sister as they were with me, and I heard him suggest that she use a switch with my sister. But I don't believe she ever did.
