My dad and Stepmom never bothered with lectures, but stepsister sure did. I had to stand completely exposed or naked in front of her for a long lecture before her spankings.
Her spankings were mild compared to parents since she only spanked by hand, but the embarrassment and humiliation with prolonged nudity was considerable.

I don't see what the big deal is if you are lectured bare by your dad if you are a boy since you only mention dads.
It could be an issue with girls but not with boys.
