I remember TV shows where spankings were given or suggested most of which didn't show them, but they were often hinted at or happened off screen. As a kid, I often imagined them getting spanked by their TV parents the same way I got it. Being turned over their Momma or Daddy's knee getting their bare bottoms spanked. In fact, sometimes when we'd be watching a show and a kid was misbehaving my Momma would comment, "Lord kids I tell you, if that was my child, I'd be blistering their bare little butt till they couldn't sit for a week." When she'd say that, I could just visualize them getting spanked that way.

I do remember a few times when a movie or tv show, did have a scene where a boy or girl got spanked on screen. When I was younger, I wondered how come they didn't get spanked bare butt like I did at home and I did ask Momma a couple of times why and she explained, "they were just acting. They can't show real spankings on tv." I was pretty much satisfied with that answer.
