Very much so. I think I benefitted from 1) being the youngest, and 2) my dad getting a Masters in School Counseling Psy. I think my parents were mellowing on the idea of bare bottom spankings when I was really young because I got very few, and I only remember my brothers getting this treatment one time. My parents never told me that spankings were off the table, but I'm pretty sure I got my last one at about 7 or 8 years old. I think that was around the time my dad was working on his Masters and probably about the time that he decided spanking was bad, except for maybe the worst offenses. He made a point to never tell.me officially that I was done getting spankings. I guess he wanted a trump card available in case of emrgency.
