I think 10 or 11... Right at Lido di Dante...
Wet pants, yes, it happened. Not very often, to be honest, but it happened both in elementary school and once in middle school. Dirty pants, no, never.

So, was there a 10-11 year old in diapers at Lido di Dante? Tell me... I wore diapers in first and second grade; from third grade onwards, I had a bag in the classroom with a change of clothes, because I had accidents up until fifth grade. In sixth grade, I peed twice and pooped once. In seventh grade, I peed twice. You can imagine the teasing.

This family arrived with this boy. They sat close to us, even though there was another family among us, so we weren't exactly close. When they undressed him, he was wearing a diaper under his shorts. He looked quite embarrassed and looked around. Holding him up next to her, his mom undid his diaper and then smeared sunscreen all over him. Later, he came to play with my kids and introduced himself, Enea, and said he was 10 and a half years old. Francesco and Tommaso didn't tell them they'd seen him in diaper. That evening, when it was time to go home, his mom laid him down on a towel and put a clean diaper on him.
I can imagine your embarrassment and teasing over these incidents (even though it obviously wasn't your fault).

Poor Enea!!! 10 and a half years old means he'll be starting sixth grade in September... changed on the beach!!! I've also tried to be changed in a public place, but never on the beach. Was the diaper used? In the evening, he protested or gently lay down to have the diaper put on. What did your children tell you about the situation when they got home?

We weren't very close, but from my experience as a mother when my two children used them, it looked wet with urine. I'm almost certain.
That evening, he tried to tell his mother to leave him without a diaper, but she was adamant.
On the way home, they asked me why such a big boy, who would be starting sixth grade after the summer, was wearing diapers. I explained that he probably had a medical bladder problem, that he certainly wasn't happy wearing it; in fact, he was embarrassed, but until his body was under control, it was okay to keep it on. There was nothing wrong with it, nor anything to make fun of.

Some questions about Enea: was he an only child? Did he have swimwear marks? He probably needed the diaper for the trip. I always put it on when I get home from the beach (but I put it in the car). Enea was lucky to find well-behaved children like yours. Were there other children at the beach? How did they look at him?

Enea was an only child and had no swimwear marks. His bottom was partially tanned, a sign that it wasn't his first time naked on the beach. I also think that the diaper was needed for the car ride to get to the beach.Thank you, you are kind to say this about my children.Yes, there were other children who looked at him laughing... how silly!

The beach actually doesn't have any restrooms. If you need one, you have to go to the restrooms at Camping Classe, which has an agreement with the municipality of Ravenna to allow those using the public beach to use their restrooms for free, or you can go to Natur Ristobar, which is outside the naturist area, by the pine forest.
If Francesco and Tommaso needed to pee, they did it in the sea while swimming (even though it's not supposed to be done there), while if they needed to poop, they went to the restrooms at Camping Classe (I think they're what you call the first beach outside the nudist area).
When Enea needed to go to the bathroom, his mom put him in a diaper and made him do his business in it.

I don't think my parents know about the Classe campsite, because we always walk to the regular beach. The person accompanying me gets dressed, while I walk the entire beach naked. Will you dress Francesco and Tommaso to walk down the path to the campsite?
Poor Enea!!! I've never experienced anything like this before! What a shame! The beach is usually crowded. Don't you think he'd be able to get to the campsite bathroom?

No, we'll do like your parents. My husband or I get dressed and accompany them, but they're naked. If the campsite is very crowded, we put Francesco in his swimsuit, while Tommaso stays naked. Not so much to avoid embarrassment for him, but because we don't want to cause problems with the campsite guests. We'll bring his swimsuit with us and see the situation when we get to the campsite and decide whether to leave him naked or dress him.
I agree with you... too embarrassing for Enea. I don't know why his parents decided that way. He could go to the campsite bathroom with my two children. I tried to tell his mom, but she said it's more practical that way. Besides, her son has nothing to be ashamed of because he's still a child down there...

So Francesco sees you're wearing his swimsuit? He'd want to put it on when we leave the naturist area? Enea's parents are like mine: any excuse is a good one to wear diapers. My parents also sometimes make me wear them during the day just for convenience. Okay, on long trips I need them because I fall asleep easily. But other times it's just for their convenience.
