I do feel there was a bit of a double standard in past atleast.

I was a kid in a very remote area and could play in backyard naked if hot growing up. Ther was a boy aboput my age and we always did it when hot or nowhere to go. We might even do it after school sometimes. We would take baths at each others houses and often stay naked after bath. I knew other boys did this at parks but never thought much of it.

When I was closer to 11 I became close friends with my moms friends daughter. She was maybe 6 months younger than me and her brother was 7. He was always naked at home and I asked my mom about it and they told me he was being raised naked at home as healthy for boys. That was end of it for awhile until older and her mom said it was too hot I I would be more comfortable naked too, so I joined boy and quickly forgot about it. I started going naked at home more often too. Not much was siad about it either way.Girl would wear swimsuit bottom and tshirt.

Itwas a double standard but on one cared, especially at ocean beaches
