Personnaly my sister and I were always taken to the changing room by the same sex parent. But I was aware it went on because I saw it. To be honest, prior to puberty, I barely noticed. I can verify that little boys stoped going in with mom at about 7 or 8. Dads would generally take girls in with them until age 10 or even 11 if there was absolutely no one who could accompany the child in to the appropriate changing area.

I can remember a specific instance when I was 12. A dad brought his 9 year old daughter with him to change. This man, unlike other dad's, did nothing to redirect the child's attention away from those around her. He was oblivious to her gawking. And likewise, all the older teens and men in the changing room seemed oblivious to the girl as well; including my own dad. I actually thought there was something wrong with me for being uncomfortable! It was different times.

So she was pretty much free to look at any guy she wanted? That was like my cousin. My uncle would strike up a conversation with some friends so we'd be in there for a long time. She could pretty much wander around and take in the sights.

Exactly! This guy was too busy fussing with his own bathing suit to look after her. Which brings me to a related point I wanted to bring out. As I stated, the guys in the locker room were oblivious to this little girl for the most part. She wandered around with her eyes as big as saucers. I did see a couple of men give each other a wry smile as if to say, "isn't that cute, she doesn't know what to make of this". They seemed to find it endearing. Like I said, different times.

Did she seem to be interested in any particular person? My cousin used to go down the aisles or to the showers to look for boys closer to her age. Failing that she was good to stare at the men too lol.

A slow forum suddenly has "new" member exchanging posts every 20 minutes? OK...

you do know that it is possible for two people to be in the same forum at the same time and reply to each other's posts just minutes apart. i doubt there is any conspiracy here, if you know what i mean.

Sorry, I didn't know a forum like this existed. I might have jumped the gun and shared too much too soon. Is there more of a normal rhythmn to this forum? I didn't mean to hijack anything. I do have some context to add to one of my earlier posts, then I will take a break. Maybe check back in over the weekend.
