As I have been commenting on this forum, I have begun to consider that I had different levels of resistance to being nude based on the person requesting. I have commented in another thread regarding my 14 year old cousin who babysat me when I was 10. I "would have rathered" she not see me naked but she pretty easily convinced me that I needed to be bathed and it was no big deal.
On the other hand, I had a friend in the neighborhood who lived close by. I didn't particularly like this kid very much but he was the only playmate in the neighborhood, by default, I had to play with him. To make matters worse, his mother dispised me. I won't bore with the details just say that every time her little angel got in trouble, it was blamed on my influence - undeservedly.
One day he begged me to stay the night at his house. I didn't want to, but eventually relented. That evening his mother was going to help us change into our PJs. There was no way I was going to let that hateful woman see me without my clothes on. I gathered my things and walked over to the bathroom, shut the door, and changed there. I emerged to a look of disdain from her, not surprising.
Can anyone else point to different reactions based on who requested? What was the difference in your estimation?

I was generally much more embarrassed to be seen by girl's my own age or younger than older girls. The closer they were to an adult I tended to view them as more maternal figures who should be obeyed. Girls younger would either laugh or have a very interested reaction.

Good point Dave, I think in general, it was that way for most of us. I also really needed a level of trust in those more one on one situations. If it was a group of boys, then you are just one of many. It doesn't feel like the spotlight is directly on you. You can always hide behind someone else, lol.

Some boys liked to be nude if it was voluntary and unsupervised,
but not if it was involuntary and supervised.

Boys in other cultures also loved being nude with no adults present and hated being nude with adults present.
In India, boys voluntarily skinny-dip,
but misbehaving boys are punished by being forced to appear nude (Taz 2017, Voy 223876).
Philippine boys are humiliated by the circumcision ceremony, in which their male parts are displayed to the local female population (Dee Ann 2019, Voy 223876), yet they are also fond of skinny-dipping, even in the presence of girls.
