Back in the early 1950s it wasn't unusual to see boys up to the age of 12, and sometimes 13/14 depending if they had not yet reached puberty, completely naked at the beach or back yard pool.

It was thought that the more they got their bodies exposed to the sun that the healthier they would be.

How things have changed since then, and how now too much sun is not a good thing.
