I read through messages and had same experience as Lisa, Rossa, and Milena.
Our group was 3 girls and 2 boys and boys never wore swimwear as unnecessary for boys under puberty. In private backyards girls swam naked till 9 or so too, then stopped.
I did not own swimwear and always went naked on beach past puberty. It was 70s though so not a big deal. I would also walk to campground showers naked in AM too.

It was a fun time. The beach my parents took me too was rarely busy and I only fully undressed if there were less than about 20 or 30 people there.

Nice, I.was just expected to be nude on the beach until around 12.
I do also remember being nude at the campsites on weekend holidays away and yes walked around thw campsite naked to the showers, toilets and even to the site shop

Us two boys were naked on beach and backyards and lakes all summer. I hit puberty at 13 and stayed naked another year or two anyway if quiet beach. When under nine on improved beaches we would all rinse of sand in women's room as I could not go to men's room alone at that age.
Girls went nude till same age as Lisa if quiet beach as well. Sometimes they wore the boys sports briefs for swimming too to keep their clothes clean. .
Sometimes we were only naked boys on beach but people would not sit next to you if it bothered them on huge empty beach. Other times kids joined us.
Another boy our age played with us but had shorts on.
