I'm from Romania and during my childhood, till I was 10 - almost 11 years old I was always let naked on the beach (textile beaches) by my mom who always insisted to do like this because she was convinced that was much more healthy for me.
This was happened during The'80 and Early '90s on The Black Sea Seaside.
Usually there was always tons of naked kids on the beach, but mostly was preschool ones, till around 7 years old - both, boys and girls.
Since I was was 8 I was pretty aware that almost all the kids around my age already started to wear a swimming suit and I started to become really shy and embarrassed epecially because other cousins from my extended family had also already started to wear swimsuits except the toddlers ones.
It wasn't uncommon at all to see naked kids on the beach, even at around 8 - 9 or even 10, but they were always just a few, so sometimes I was the only one in my beach area...
My mom always undressed me or put me to undress right from the moment when we opened our blanket on the beach, but inside our summer resort, if our hotel was really close to the beach, I was made to walk naked or bottomless (usually JUST a T-shirt, to protect my shoulders from sunburns) from the hotel to the beach.
Much worse was that during the day, being on the beach my mom always wanted to buy something from the beach promenade (water, food, ice-cream) and we walked together or send me alone on that kiosks and stalls who was all around the beach promenade...
I was always really ashamed to walk around nude or bottomless, especially since my cousins was always in their swimming suits since they wasn't toddlers anymore...
After I reached 11, I started to wear swimming suit (speedo /slip) but till I was almost 13, when we prepared to go home, I was always made to undress it and to wash it among with the beach toys and the other things, and if some outdoor beach showers was avaible I was sent (nude) to wash myself before to dress back my street clothes, so , every day on the beach, for the last 20 minutes or so, I was naked again...

I'm 14 and a half and I've never worn a swimsuit to the beach. I have swimsuits in my closet, but I only wear them at the pool, where they're mandatory. There's a nudist beach near my house, and obviously I'm not ashamed of being naked there (almost everyone is naked). But when we travel, we often go to regular beaches. My parents wear swimsuits there, but they leave me naked, and I'm ashamed. Even though I'm still very young, looking no older than 10 or 11, my nudity stands out: in Italy, on regular beaches, all children over 4 or 5 wear swimsuits. Luckily, I sometimes hang out with my cousins, who are also always naked at 8 and 11. My parents tell me I'm lucky not to have started puberty yet, so I can be free and happy on the beach.

My experience was more like Jumbix. I did not have embarrasment as I was used to it. I was told openly boys dont need one and not make a mess of sand and wet clothes. I would always go with a boy 2 years younger or 5 years younger. I would always join them naked on beach and since I did. Boys did that often back then and other times we were only people naked on beach. When puberty started I would wear swim breif and usually take it off anywayif place was quiet.

Hi Thomas, so you weren't ashamed of being the oldest naked kid on the beach? What do you mean you still undressed after puberty? To change into your swimsuit at the end of the day or throughout the day? Up to what age were you doing this?

Well things were different and not like today. A naked boy on beach was just no big deal. Some girls did too. One girl in our group did if she wanted.
I had a best friend my age, and two younger boys in group. We also had three girls in group. Boys were required to go nude and even though oldest I still did. It was not a big concern. We would walk to showers and parking lot nude but that is about it. Teen girls and women would suntan topless but not walk around much like that.
I usually went with younger boys and watched them swim. Beach was very large and you could sit privately or join others. We often played with other kids.
Beaches in Florida were not as scrict especially for boys due to heart. I would see same kids play all the time.I dont remember erections or puberty being a big thing.
