There have been times, I've been out with my kids, shopping or in restaurants and they have seen other kids misbehaving and throwing tantrums in public. Then seeing that, it's been pretty common for one or more of my kids to say, "Wow, if I did that, you'd take me to the bathroom, pull my pants down and beat my butt." I would usually pat them on the butt give them a kiss on the head and tell them, "You're absolutely right." My kids have had to make that trip to the restroom for a bare butt spanking for misbehaving in public a few times.

As a child it happened to me QUITE a few times and I remember saying the same things to Momma that my kids said to me when they see some other kids acting like brats in public.
