Of course I don't spank for everything. Most misbehavior does not warrant spanking. And they are also entitled to warnings' "Don't Make Me Count to Three" by Christian Mom and author Ginger Hubbard is one of my favorite child discipline books. It is a take on the 1,2,3 Magic idea, with the consequence a spanking rather than timeout.

This idea was endorsed by the pediatrician I cited in a previous post about spanking and hyperactivity.
