 I am torn on this one.

I think the old adage “praise in public, discipline in private” is a good rule to live by but doesn’t apply in every scenario.

In the case of older kids, it makes sense to wait until you get home, but for younger kids they may not be able to make the association with the misbehavior and the punishment later.

In either case, I don’t judge anyone for how they choose to discipline.
