We use a Jokari paddle on the older kids and a ping pong paddle on the younger kids.

As for as how often, Greg and Annie are spanked at least 2 to 3 times a month. Bob and Melissa are normally spanked at least twice a month, and Grace is spanked at least once a month. We do not spank for every little thing, we spank only for breaking house rules. Things like, Lying, fighting with each other, not doing their chores, etc.
