Hi Sarah,

I have a question. I noticed that you spank with a wooden spoon, combined with hand spanks. I have only spanked with my hand, but I am not sure it is giving the correction needed. At my church hand spankings are discouraged, except for very young kids. The pastor once said the Bible refers to the Rod of Correction, not the Hand of Correction. My daughter's Sunday School teacher even gave me a wooden spoon engraved "Spoon of Correction".

I think it is time to start using the spoon. However, I think I will combine hand spankings with it. Morgan commented that she spanks with both hand and hairbrush, which makes the spanking longer. And you give hand and spoon spanking together.

Too make sure I am spanking enough I have always spanked for at least two minutes (I keep track). I am thinking of keeping that same duration but adding the more intense spoon spanks in the mix.

Any advise?
