When I first read the CT Post article, I also speculated on what all the reasons might be. After I found out some details, I re-read the article, paying specific attention to each word...... the article was accurrate, no need to speculate.

The team will miss Roshown Mcleod, I thought he taught the Big Men well. Hope he will someday get back into coaching, and hopefully it can be at Fairfield.

The McLeod situation is troublesome, and I think it did affect the Stags today. But give credit to Niagara—they were simply the better team. Darden, Mendez, Reaves and Cruz are tremendous players. I don't want any part of these guys in March.

Manhattan is a buzzsaw right now, and honestly, I don't see Fairfield going 40 minutes with them on Thursday. So we need to take care of business vs. Marist, Rider, St. Peter's and Loyola, then see what happens at Niagara. If the Stags can complete the MAAC season at 13-5, I think it will be enough to finish in the top 3. If we lose to any of the second-tier teams, however, all bets are off. At least Siena appears headed for the No. 5 seed.

A 2-3 homestand is beyond disappointing, especially losing to the three top-tier teams. We let a golden opportunity to take charge of the No. 2 seed slip away today. Man, it's never easy rooting for the Fairfield Stags.
