Hi Max,
As far as religion and politics go; on the former, I think it's probably a gene thing with me (like the infamous "libertarian gene theory" originated by AM); I've never been able to even imagine myself believing in a conventional god. On the latter, I'm sure it's a gene thing.

Lately, often both subjects (religion, politics) seem--"silly and irrelevant" come to mind--and actually fit pretty well now that I've written them down. I have these bouts of practicality where I actually get down to the matter at hand, which, at the moment, is preparing for Y2K potentialities and at the same time planning to take advantage of a long vacation.

Re: "deferred sense of responsibility" It catches me a little off-center too. I'm not really sure what it is, but it sounds like something I'd like to buy stock in. Actually, options would be the way to go. If only they sold options to defer a sense of responsibility (ODSRs?): "How many ODSRs would you like to purchase with your new dog/house/car/spouse?"

There wouldn't be enough ODRs to go around. GF :)
