Yes. In a sense, we are what we read. God help us.

I think the antidote is to try to read/think/view at least as much possitive stuff as negative. Pretty tough these days, but can be done, I believe. The thinking part is most important.

A man of the Blue named Robert Ringer called it Reality Therapy. The way it works is you program yourself to expect to have to dig through a whole lot of gravel to find the diamonds in life. You remind yourself constantly that the diamonds are there, which they are. But you don't expect to find them lying around shimmering in the sunlight.

If they were lying around in small piles everywhere, they wouldn't be much more valuable than the gravel, I'd guess. GF
