Well I've done subtle ("Yeah we should definitely go out for a drink at some time.") and I've done pretty obvious ("What are you doing next week. Do you want to go out... (SHE LOOKS SURPRISED/SCARED/HORRIFIED) or do you just want to play it by ear?") so it looks like only the VERY OBVIOUS APPROACH is left. She just doesn't bloody know!!! Anyway I've invited her to an advance preview of Harry Potter (with other people) but she's got to get back to me on it.
