- thankyou -- Grandma Moo, 13:31:10 11/16/06 Thu
Your site has provided my six young Israeli delightful pupils, a wonderful insight into great songs, in the English language. As a 76 year-old teacher of English conversation the lyrics are an excellent teaching aid. Greatfully, Muriel Harris-Salant.

First CUAG Event of Tern -- matt, 14:58:09 11/12/05 Sat
This coming Thursday (17th November) we have a meeting booked with our MP Susan Kramer at an office in the House of Commons to talk about what she is doing about "Trade Justice". The meeting starts at 5.15, so we are all going to congregate in the antechapel at 4.15 and make our way over.
However, we are going to meet at Wednesday at 1.15 in the antechapel to discuss the type of questions and arguments we are going to put forward.
More talk about that at the Meeting tomorrow - which is John Howard (LIE! LIE!).
That boys, is a fact. (P.S. references to the antechapel on here in old posts is enough to make my heart break - meeting about that with ben taylor on monday).

right, this thing has been idle for far too long. it is about to be used again by present committee members, to re-live those glory days. Topic 1 - does Miles look like a Panda?

Hello CU students! -- Wing from Asia, 22:18:01 04/01/05 Fri
I'm a visitor passing by. I live in Hong Kong, surfing through websites to find some abandonwares in between the 1980's and the 1990's. I downloaded a song "Bridge over Troubled Water" and I felt extremely impressed when I was listening to this great classic. I love this site!

Stumbled upon this site looking for "The Sound of Silence" way ack in the summer. I just finished going through all the songs now, haha. Some real nice songs on here, some of ehich I found to be kinda inspirational. Much thanks for allowing me to hear them.
By the way, what exactly is the Saint Paul's Christian Union and the house parties? And where did you get all those songs from?

Was looking for the song "You'll Never Walk Alone" and I stumbled on your site. It's pretty entertaining. I also downloaded the songs "I Believe" and "You've Got a Friend" which are all related to one another. Many thanks and more power to you.

Update on SSSK bikeathon -- John Mellor (now in L8th), 12:18:55 01/15/04 Thu
Wow, this goes forum back a long time. Hope people still read it!
On the Sunday after the end of the Autumn term, 23 CU members from all years went to Richmond Park to do a sponsored bikeathon from dawn to dusk (8 hours).
It was in aid of Students Supporting Street Kids (SSSK), a charity set up to help deprived street children all over the world, run in large part by CU officers (Gordon Couch, Tom Stephens, Johnny Wacher, Charlie Bretherton, Jay Bridger).
After splitting into groups based vaguely on ability we went round the park between 3 and 7 times (each lap is 8 miles).
We hope to have raised around £1500 altogether.
I'd like to congratulate everyone who took part.
All in all it was good fun, but very tiring :)
The CU carol-singing this year was also in aid of SSSK, and was great fun and very successful.
Next update soon.
I hope all of you have a good time at school/uni/etc.

Charity -- Jack, 14:37:46 11/10/03 Mon
Hello, has anyone got any ideas for a route for a charity Cycle ride? Medium distance (20-40miles). Would towpath be good...or perhaps Richmond park? It would be nice to get a reply even if you have no ideas...at least that would show people do still read these.

I was looking behind a filing cabinet in Room 31 when I found an "Aeneid" exercise book belonging to Richard Teverson, 5F. Does he want it back? It could be vital.
