Previously, in their relationship, it wouldn't have hurt the way it did if he just up and left like that but now that she felt like they were back in love with each other, it really had hurt. She hesitated for only a brief second before she hugged him in return, her arms wrapping around his waist as she let out a slow breath and tipped her head to rest on his chest. She didn't know what to say to his apology, she wasn't sure it was exactly ok so she didn't want to say that, instead she decided to just not say anything as she pulled back from him.
