Walmart execs & these supplier salesmen periodically get into a private mtg. room in Wal-mart headquarters. Then Wal-mart says "either you lower your price by 5% or we won't stock your product anymore", even if the cost of the materials has increased so it's impossible. Even more interestingly, sometimes they have 3 or 4 suppliers in the room together and they force them to low ball their prices to compete with each other, even if the item only costs $1. One guy said that they'd argue down to the penny. Therefore this forces all of the manufacturers to move to China. Also, in the past, with the American products, Walmart's markup was like 20 to 30% but with the Chinese goods it is 90%.

A nanny was watching 2 naughty kids in a dark, isolated, haunted mansion. The kids are really creepy and the nanny sees the ghosts of 2 former employees. THe only person she can talk to is the middle aged maid. Even by the end of the movie, I was still creeped out due to the kissing between the little boy and the nanny. Barfff! Unlike The Others, the ending is still ambiguous in The Innocents. The nanny tries to force the boy to admit that he can see the male ghost because she thinks he's possessed by him. But then the boy died! (of fright?)

This red riding hood girl is named Fanny and always seems to be wearing a red shiny red body suit (full length) under a red pant suit or dress. One of the boys was cheating because his plane was piloted by some kind of butterfly fairy. As a challenge, he had to take off his sneaker and attach the propeller and fly it. He also did this using the fairy. Then the kids were walking in the woods and found an old-school baby carriage and started to ride it down the hill.

I remember this movie being shown only in World Exchange, then disappearing, then showing up at AMC because of Golden Globe nominations. Both of us were disappointed with this movie. There's a reason it was only in World Exchange for a short time. I can't understand how it won any awards. (On the other hand, I love Election and indie films in general.) First of all, I am not a wine connaisseur, so I was not familiar with the wine talk and I can't see the enjoyment of touring around Napa Valley just to sample. (But I love the scenery - yellow hills, mountains, ocean.) Secondly, both characters are losers. One is a slimy pervert and the other schmuck totally opposes his friend's immoral activities, but never does anything to stop him. In fact he assists him, while looking gloomy and whining for two solid hours! Why didn't he just go back home alone when his friend took off, having sex with random women? Plus, what's wrong with the women? Why would they be interested to date with either of the loser men? I don't see the attraction. Finally: why on earth is the movie's name Sideways? We could not figure it out!
