The stallion ahems loudly. How silly could any other stallion be? "I believe she challenged because she believed in herself to the point that she would make a good leader. He grew more and more agitated once the King had entered his conversation, and as time progressed he had begun to withdraw from the conversation, to go meditate and contemplate the future. His mind was always looking ahead, and planning.

Still he holds to the ground of pleas, his attention barely wavering as he feels the eyes of his friend, Firelight, come across his slight form. Still a colt, he does think that even his father will listen to arguements from him -- only pleadings, full of pure innocence.

Quickly his eyes snap to the form of Big Brother, willing his heart to slow as he performs for the sake of these adults.

"Firelight, Big Brother," the colt begins slowly, testing the waters that lay ahead, "my father means no disrespect. Firelight, dad hasn't been able to truly come to know you, and his kingship so far has been very brief and unsteady, so I'm sure he is hesitant to make any large jumps." He swallows lightly, his gaze flicking upwards in thought. "The position is yours, Firelight, dad has said as much: so take it. We're counting on you." His features crease in a light smile; a smile from a friend to a friend. "Come on, are you gonna stay here to argue or are you gonna show us what you've got? I know you can do it, he knows can do it..." jerking his muzzle in the vague direction of Big Brother "so prove us right."
