Author: Big Brother
Subject: big brother is watcing YOU [anyone/everyone]

The stallion stands almost completely motionless, he felt as if cotton was wrapped 'round his senses, dulling them. Feeling more than oblivious to the world, he ponders various matters. He finally decides to speak out to those of the terriory, perhaps looking for the one or two intelligent life left wandering around like meteorites in space. "It really appears as if the Evils do not even need a King," He says randomly, vocalizing his current random stream of thought.

[> Meaning? -- Arvad, 20:20:27 04/26/03 Sat [1]

Wandering aimlessly past at the very moment the stallion chooses to speak, the colt forces his head through the foliage dividing the path the colt is walking and the area in which the stranger stands. "Whadda'ya mean?" The colt asks curiously, blinking a couple of times as sunlight drifts lazily into the depths of his eyes.

[> big brother is watcing YOU -- Big Brother, 20:58:57 04/26/03 Sat [1]

Blinking majestically, the stallion lowers his unwavering gaze to the colt, not bothering to mask his curiosity and slight agitation at being prodded by one so young and insignificant. Nostrils flare as he takes in the scent of the youth, before he decides this colt, though small, was worth his thoughts. "Because, the ruler never does anything and the Evils run themselves. That leads me to believe either that there should be no ruler anyway, or there should be a much stronger ruler to make the Evils great. Do you understand?" He finishes, as if the colt couldn't comprehend the words that had been spoken.

[Yes, he is that arrogant.]

[> Probably, big boy. -- Zamnor, 22:06:04 04/26/03 Sat [1]

[*Blinks. Screams.* ACK! I MEANT ZAMNOR! ZAMNOR, ZAMNOR, ZAMNOR!!! WHY THE HECK DID I PUT THE NAME ARVAD THERE?! ZAMNOR!!!!!]

The colt comprehends, but the manner with which he reacts suggests that the young one is only idly thoughtful; that perhaps he doesn't even care that much at all about it. Twisting his ears about so that they remain focussed exclusively on the stallion, he turns his head to nip at the brush tickling and scraping against his neck. His head still turned, he asks, "Why do the Evils have to be great? No one's going to attack us, right?" His eyes are deliberately vacant of intelligence as he again returns his visual attention to Big Brother, although his mind is as quick as ever. The only reason for the pretense of stupidity is because the colt has been caught of guard; he had had no idea before what Evils thought of their King, and now that he has heard a basic thought on the subject he feels a bit taken back.

Do they hate my father? He wonders, trying very hard to ignore the itchiness developing beneath his thin pelt. Is my father a bad king? As a loyal son he is of course repelled by such rebellious ideas, but nevertheless he feels he must keep an open mind. Especially when talking to horses like him, Zamnor thinks wryly, staring up into Big Brother's eyes.

[I like him nonetheless, for all his arrogance. Though, I should warn you that if he becomes anymore arrogant he may become a horse identical to Frozen Dreams. *Grins*]

[> big brother is watcing YOU -- Big Brother, 22:24:10 04/26/03 Sat [1]

He shakes his surprisingly well-kept mane out, and cocks a neatly socked hind hoof in slight relaxation. It was a deep, thoughtful question, one of the better questions he had been asked during his short stay here. Most of the horses he had, as of yet, met, asked stupid questions about his personal life that didn't really matter. "You never know, though I doubt we will be attacked in the near future. Therefore, our weak, infantile state of being isn't harmful. Right now at least. In the future though, I worry that the Lights will become stronger and want to eraticate evil for good, destroying our way of life. We need to be stronger when that day comes, and it will eventually," His weight is shifted to a pure black hoof before he continues. "On the other hand, we must also think to destroy that threat now, while the Lights are weak and divided. If Light is conquered, Evil will prevail forever."

Never once did the stallion stop to think about his words, they were all pre-planned. Never once did he wonder why on earth he was telling a foal, a mere child like Zamnor. Big Brother had planned this almost his entire life, moving from one 'evil' land to another, seeing no difference. To him, Evils should be evil, not lights with contemptuous attitudes.

[> [glisten][reflect] -- Carcajou, 22:58:57 04/26/03 Sat [1]

The mare's ears flick lazily back and forth to catch the stream of words coming from the proud and intelligent stallion. She didn't feel particularly fond of him, and they definitely got off to a bad start; but there didn't seem to be a right start when faced with such total arrogance. There is one question stirring at the back of her mind, and if this plan was well thought out, perhaps there would be an answer. "If all is Evil," she interrupts mildly, "would there be anything to balance it? If everything is the same, without conflict or opposition, what's the use of having either Evil or Good?"

[ Edit | View ]

[> big brother is watcing YOU -- Big Brother, 23:16:02 04/26/03 Sat [1]

His ear swivelled to hear the words of the mare that he had met briefly before upon entering the terrain. The 'free spirit'. He pondered her question, and a sly smile slid onto his features as smooth as glass. Evening his weight on all fours, he acknowledges her. "That is a very good question, one I have had to thought of in great detail for a long, long time," He takes a deep breath and sighs.

"Good without Evil is much like black without white, is it not? Without white, black is just... there. There is nothing to compare it to. However, if we erase white from the vocabulary of the world, black will always be black. Everything will be black and only black, no one would even no of white to say 'Yes, yes that is white'. Much the same is how Good and Evil are. If Good is erased forever from the world, Evil will be the only thing ever known. There won't be a need for contrast. Do you understand? It's a very difficult concept, I myself had trouble working it out of jumbled thoughts and into words that could be actually be spoken," He said, finishing his lengthy speach with a slight bow to his head in the direction of the mare.

[ Edit | View ]

[> No contrast? -- Zamnor, 11:17:50 04/27/03 Sun [1]

"But then there wouldn't be Evil anymore!" The colt protests, the façade lost as he struggles with the theory that the stallion has proposed. "We'd just be neutral! Or...or...we'd be something else entirely because Good, Evil, and Neutral would have no meaning! We might as well as be only Good or only Neutral! It would be the same thing! Contrast makes Evil...doesn't it?" By now the poor colt, who has never thought of such concepts in his whole entire short life, is very, very confused. Helplessly his eyes fall to stare at the ground, one corner of his mind noticing that he can't stare at his front hooves because they're still hidden behind the brush.

[ Edit | View ]

[> big brother is watcing YOU -- Big Brother, 11:23:04 04/27/03 Sun [1]

"That is not true, Zamnor. The name Good, or Neutral, or Evil, is only a name. We could be called Lights, and and everyone else called Evils, and our concepts would remain the same. Contrast does not make Evil, Evil is here and Evil is a group of thoughts, ideas and actions that we protect and use in our daily life," He explained almost wearily, for the concept which stood out to him so obviously was not coming across to anyone else.

Currently her anger with the King made her side with this newcomer. Though she had rightfully won the challenge with Innocent Seduction he had denied her the right to the territory. So she stood by the speaker watching him carefully. If we destroyed all 'Lights' were would the fun in life be. So we would sit around after a long war with them and then they would be gone.. then what? If she would place her trust in this brute she wanted to know why. His ideas were there and they were good. He was active and seemed to get around also have that drive for life True Evil lacked. What if you become King hm.. what would you do? Voice was questioning ooids stared into that of the taller equine with a feircly buring fire. Ebony rocks played across terrain as she glanced once at Zamnor. Thoughts flew to Maleah and Zamnor they were her friends and related to True Evil. Meaning.. she wa agaisnt them? Well, life happened and she had made a big mark in hers. Where would it take the young mare no one knows.

[> big brother is watcing YOU -- Big Brother, 17:30:46 04/27/03 Sun [1]

He chuckles at her comment. "The fun? It's not always about fun, sometimes it is about preserving a way of life that is starving in boredum. But if I were king? That's rediculous. I'm no more a King than you are a Queen. But if I were King of Evils, I would firstly make things more fair, and provide more opportunities for aspiring Evils to land themselves a good lot in life. There would be more 'group acitivies', if one wre to put it so nausiatingly. The Evils would be united together, instead of a large group of petty, arguing Leads."

He drawls this quite boredly, not bothering to conceal a yawn. What would he do if he were King of Evils? That fell under the category of silly and unimportant questions. Roman nose is turned back to Zamnor. "Your father isn't very popular with everyone, and it is because he is a monarch. That is the way things are with monarchs. He could go too ways, supress any motion to rebel or speak poorly of him and confine his subjects in fear, or encourage them to stand for their own beliefs and hold a more democratic society."

[ Edit | View ]

[> Very perceptive. -- Zamnor, 18:23:02 04/27/03 Sun [1]

His ears stiffen: so Big Brother knows that he is True Evil's son...it disturbes the colt slightly that the stallion knows more about him than the colt knows about the stallion. Although he considers what the stallion has to say about monarchs, he is more worried about the stallion's thoughts on Lights and Evils.

"Why do we have to prevail over Good?" He asks the stallion hesitantly. "What's wrong about Good horses? Why can't they live too? Why can't they have different beliefs than we do?"

[Darn, this is hard. I have my own arguements, but I have to keep Zamnor within his own limit of understanding...dangmanit!]

[> big brother is watcing YOU -- Big Brother, 19:10:01 04/27/03 Sun [1]

He chuckles, "Are you sure you are not a Neutral? Anyway, it is simply because we believe we are right and they are wrong. It's the way things are. And they have always believed they are right and we are wrong. We will never agree and as long as these two bodies remain divided and active, there will be no true peace. Peace, in effect, is War."

After divulging by fair one of his favorite slogans, the other two remain tucked just out of view. Upon proper provacation, he would tell the other two as well. If the convorsation continued in such a way. His large ears swiveled to listen to the colt better, and he could almost feel the confusion and turmoil inside. For the first time since he had set foot in this misbegotten land of Cascade Mountains, he was actually having fun. There was nothing more enjoyable then partaking in a calm, well thought out debate. And winning, which was, of course, his goal.

[Well get the booty of a character in to explain the other side! No one has attempted to explain why one group of people should live, and why the other shouldn't. Or why one group should be in slavery, and one shouldn't. Tres excitement!]

[> [glisten][reflect] -- Carcajou, 22:06:04 04/27/03 Sun [1]

((Actually, I was vaguely wondering about those, but it isn't really one of Carky's interests. She's just a tad too young to be aware of the well-being of those she hasn't had experience with. God, you're never going to let me live that 'free spirit' thing down, are you? LoL.))

"I take it you would be leading us in this expedition, should we choose to follow, would you not? In which case you would be something that at the least bears resemblance to a monarch. It's true that monarchs are not well liked for what they are; so what would you do to any opposition that should come your way? In fact," she continues, "what if your notions grow to include a certain percentage of the Evils, but not quite enough for guaranteed success? What if we ourselves become divided, and, as a result, more vulnerable than you already perceive us to be?"

[ Edit | View ]

[> Huh? -- Zamnor, 22:25:58 04/27/03 Sun [1]

The colt, in some warped sense, is also enjoying the discussion. Never before had an adult spoken seriously to him, and this topic is particularly enjoyable to the youth because of its relevance to his present state. He almost smiles as he calms his mind down and sorts through what he does know, and what he does not. Though, as calmly composed as he hopes himself to be, he cannot help but flush at the comment of being Neutral.

"I'm not Neutral," he's quick to say. "I guess I just don't understand. I mean, why do we have to agree? Horses don't agree with dragons and wolves, and horses will never agree with humans... but that doesn't mean we go to destroy each other. Why can't it be like that? Sort of...like two different species in one."

Thorns turn to listen as each one explains there point. Dark ooids careful stay pointed towards Big Brother. Delicate nares flare as thought of power is stuck in the little horse's head. In no way did I suggest that you or I would be in rule. What I am getting at is if you think something is wrong here fix it. Voice was clearly stubborn ebony rocks striking harshly the terrain. As fun I meant.. more exciting this place is dull. Though I may be grasping at the point you are getting at. Crown was held poised as she watched him carefully. Though Zamnor has a point we shall never agree with the Lights. Also you said divided we are divided so that we do not war and in the end seperate. The Lights have Light lands and the Evils Evil Lands so that we are not mixed in with each other in constant battles. I do not think that we should war agaisnt the Lights which somehow seems your point. She had once again changed direction in where she was going. Raven whip slapped agaisnt golden hued hocks. Stubborn pools bore into his own. Perhaps she said what she did for her parents were Light. No one knew that though except her ex-mate so.. it didn't matter. Did it?

"What would I do? What I would do is of no importance. The problem is, I am not king and I have no way of becoming King, if True Evil will not accept the challenge of mine," He said, and the tone of his voice seemed to end that stream of questioning coming from that direction. "You want excitment, try war. I assume none of you were here during the alleged Great Horse War, but I have seen war in my day," He says, implying that he might possibly older than his youthful-looking body declared. "So, I wouldn't mind warring. It would bring us together. Besides, nothing was accomplished in the first war. Nothing at all."

A few meters away, the bay male stands, ebon' tail brushing upon his hocks placidly. Intriguing conversation you four are directing. He comments, voice loud enough to carry easily to the group. Hooves begin to carry the skinny Thoroughbred closer. No, He then says. The confident stallion draws to a halt before them. War, however appealing in your eyes, His pools direct themselves towards Big Brother. is a fading option. Even I attempted to start something, yet all I gained was a considerable amount of pain. Foolish decision, really. His calm eyes suddenly turn sharp. I advise that you do not insult our true leader. Remember, oftentimes our evil ways are not compatible with errant opinions. However, I am not here to preach. A slight smirk appears 'pon his face. A sarcastic smirk meant to test the other stallion's basic attitude and temper.

It takes a fool to come up with a foolish idea wouldn't you say Adrian? A smirk crosses his face. I think what big brother is trying to say here to all of you is that most of the evils need to get their priorities straight, not their morals. You almost had it.

A grin touches his lips, and he stares pointedly at JP. "How very interesting," He muses aloud, then turns to Euripedes. "And it is an unimportant question which you have asked. It does not deem an answer from me."

Inky black tail lashes at hocks of similar hue, wondering who else would jump into this conversation. And even further, he wondered who would join him in a little quest for 'true' Evil, in its purest form.

[> [glisten][reflect] -- Carcajou, 22:46:02 04/29/03 Tue [1]

After acknowledging the arrival of several newcomers, she returns her gaze to rest on Big Brother. Everyone had their own idea about this war- regardless of whether it should it happen or not- but the question was, would their opinions hold out against the singular strong one that began the conversation? Sometimes, in moments of confusion, all it takes is one strong opinion to begin something big. "I'm getting a certain image of how you'd like things to be," she informs the stallion, "but could you give us an exact description- preferably one that is possible- of your perfect Evil world that would presumably be the ultimate result of your war? I say 'your' not out of lack of opinion, but due to the fact that you began this whole thing. It'd be nice to have a clear picture of what we might be aiming for before we get ourselves into this."

Mug opened to spill out her thoughts nothing can be done currently anyway. Zamnor is right though War means death and for what? We could lose very many for the simple destrtuction of Lights who cause no trouble anyway. If you look at it there is no point the Lights are not suppressing even if they do think wrong. They are to soft and to nice and have very little strive for more I think. That does not mean we must crush out the Light. Snort was made and maw closed to shut out the sound of her voice. "My perfect world would be without Lights in general, and be a more fair and appealing land for Evils to live in. It would hold equal opportunities for all, and wouldn't depend on whether or not the King liked you. There is no way to get new territories nowadays, haven't you noticed? We must be happy with any tyrranical, inactive reign that is imposed upon us. I think this is unfair to us, the true active horses of the world, that we must sit in the dregs and twiddle our thumbs while our leaders are off masquerading. And you say the lights do nothing? Do you not remember the incident of our only war? (Long past yes, but long forgotten no.) They started it. And then they foolishly ended it for the simple reason that they were loosing. Malussinn agreed to end it now, and leave two sides. And here we are today."

[> \/-Aggravation-\/ -- JP, 18:11:37 04/30/03 Wed [1]

Attention is turned towards Adrian once again. He was not happy about the past. Things should have happened that didn't.

I regret nothing that I have done in the past. The only reason why I didn't suceed in my goal is because some of those lights couldn't handle the thought of being defeated, nothing more, nothing less.

Attention is once again turned but this time to the rest of the group. He was tired of this talk. It angered him to see those who had no trace of an evil spirit in them use the title of evil.

Then what are you all waiting for if you don't want to get the lights now while they are most vulnerable? Do you want to wait and give them a chance to rebuild so that if we do go to war lives will be taken? I for one am damn tired of this waiting. We lost at the most three in the last war. Now that the lights are scattered, without any leaders, and deadly unorganized why don't we go in there so that at the most a couple lives will be taken for the greater good of the future of the evils?

Big Brother sure struck a nerve mention the impossible feat of ubtaining a terrtiory. That quickly pushed all thoughts of alliance with True Evil from her mind. As Jurassic Park spoke dial was shaken slightly. We need more willing to battle before we go rushing off. Some that aren't afraid to get hurt though I still don't see the point in crushing out Lights completly. Then what say we do win then there are no more Lights. Would life really be all that different? She looked at JP squarley daring him to come up with a reason. Why would it be so different if the Lights were gone.. then again a War. To rid them all way no more fuss.. no, no. Cranium was shaken as she fought herself oneside to the other. To War or not to War.

We all froliced around, no wars. It was plain and easy back then. That is no more." There were so many he had failed, and so the Arabian would have to regain their trust. "If we have war with Lights, they will retaliate for sure. Chaos will reign us for years to come. Then all we think about and sooner or later, we will only crave for more violence and death." No longer avoiding Big Brother's heated persual, he resumes, "I do not know how to be a good King to everyone, but you can help me. I can see the reasons for Big Brother to challenge me. But I can tell you, many have told me I have demonstrated qualities of leadership. There is no chance it is at it's fullest. Aiding me in successfully ruling is a mutualistic benefit. I am not promising incentives to any, but I have to get the ground under me. I can't do it alone. There is no King without advisors, as Ziraga is mine. Nor is there a ruler without his followers." He knew he must have sounded so weak and desperate to follow-up on his failure, but it was always worth a try.

She reflects over Big Brother's response... It did indeed sound promising, but how much of it would actually happen? The mare was a little too young to fully understand politics, but she had an oddly mature and cynical way of looking at the world which would affect her loyalties- if there would ever be such a confrontation. Not to mention that she had grown fond of True Evil as a leader, which may have triggered her slight sigh of relief upon his arrival. Despite his rather, well, unsubstantial speech, she was ready to stand by him. You know, she thinks to herself, you're getting carried away...

She collects herself and puts on a rather casual stance. Now is not the time to answer True Evil's question. She is so full of questions herself, and she is suffering from a mild loss of self-control. "Could someone define Evil for me?" she finally asks. "Is it a burning desire for violence and power, or a negative frame of mind, or simply a non-Light? Or any other thing, of course," she adds hurriedly.

((Eeek! Horrible post! Sorry!))

Then his dark, contemplating eyes turn towards the 'free spirit' [no, you'll never live it down] and smile slightly. Oh the questions that have been brought forth in this day and age. "Evils do not have to be bloodthirsty or violent. I just believe Evils are more intelligent and see both sides of life, good and bad. Lights are portrayed as being happy-go-lucky, and always loving and friendly. Evils are truly in the right, I believe, because we accept that there are times for passion and times for hatred. We have enemies, and we are allowed to have them. We are allowed to hate, and we do. Is that a little clearer?" He asks after yet another speach is deluded.

However, he thinks on True Evil's request for another chance. Did he deserve another chance? "Do the same properties for applying for a territory also apply to becoming King?" He says, thinking aloud.

Yes. If the leader was a true evil, and not one of these carefree laid back leaders we have been having, the way of life would be much different. Look at the difference between Heaven and Hell. Is there any difference between those two? With the question meant to be rhetorical he moved on talking Heaven is a place of light and Hell is a place of darkness. That is what this section is supposed to be like but somewhere down the line the meaning of evil changed for the worse.

[> .[shift]. -- Adrian, 17:27:54 05/01/03 Thu [1]

The male shifts his weight as Big Brother speaks. He knows where the other was taking this conversation, and the bay tenses, expecting some kind of infernal storm to develop as a result. An ear twitches backwards and forwards, but besides that, his expression remains stoic. JP, He says quietly, as if not to disturb the conversation between Big Brother and True Evil. A Lead position is no position for a war monger. I am not saying that I am for or against war in general, I simply wish not to be led into chaos.

[> *.:Continuing:.* -- Firelight, 20:27:03 05/01/03 Thu [1]

Towers switch asthe the King enters. Though she may not like him he was the King no matter what. Dial was inclined just enough and then she spoke. I won rightfully the position of Lead Mare. Seduk was inactive and most likely will continue to be that way. I still think that I deserve the position though I have once again challenged her. To me it is not fair and I am beginning to wonder if Big Brother might make it that way. There are so many inactive rulers and so many that would make wonderful Leads yet are not given the chance. You are King True Evil and for that I am under your rule. I hope though that next time a challenge is won rightfully you stand by the rules indicated. It says nothing about your opinion weither you think I make a good Lead or not.
She shifted slightly knowing that she should have spoken sooner but her player was kicked off-line last night. Dial was inclined slightly as she steps back. Left hock cocks slightly in a relaxed the position listening to what the stallion's spoke of. Gaze moved to Adrian as the back-up stallion spoke. Crown was nodded lightly as she silently agreed with his point.

{..Dang-it! I would have posted this last night but i got kicked off and was unable to get back onto the computer..}

big brother is watcing YOU -- Big Brother, 12:45:29 05/02/03 Fri [1]

"You won the challenge, and since you did I believe you deserve the position you won. Your ethics and leadership skills were not under scrutiny," He says neutrally, though any even casual bystander could tell that he did not like the way the Evils were being run at all. Blazed pate is turned to True Evil, seeing his comment on the situation.

[> Uh, oh. -- Zamnor, 17:39:37 05/02/03 Fri [1]

The confidence that had shone in his eyes while he had been talking to Big Brother ebbs and wavers at the point of breaking with his father's entrance into the conversation, his ears flattening instinctively as words hidding harsher meanings are thrown in the stallion's direction. Moistening his lips, he steps close to his father, his gaze clouded as he looks up at him.

"Dad?" His voice is carefully probing, his body still as his concentration is drained into a single stare. "Please allow Firelight the position she earned. If you need a second chance, then she needs a first chance -- I know she'd be a great leader. Please, Dad." The colt's voice cracked with the beginning of puberty, at times retaining the sweet note of innocent youth, and at other times dropping to the stronger bass of an adult. However, none of the indecisiveness that wraps his vocals can be heard in the naked plea as it lingers in the air.

[> *.:Disbelief:.* -- Firelight, 18:03:42 05/02/03 Fri [1]

Femora listened to Big Brother speak the clear defiance in his voice. No her leadership skill and so on were not under scrunity at least not by him. Though the other .True Evil. seemed to think she could not lead .Vix. turned murky ooids towards that form of Zamnor. A light of suprise was deep in them as she listened to him. The young virile would make a good King. At least was the opinion of this sweet belle.

Thank you both but it is the desicion of True Evil and Fallen Saviour I believe in the end. I have come to the conclusion with F.S. that he will consider the propistion of me retaining Lead Mare if Seduction does not return. If he does not do anything perhaps then I can ask True Evil to step in. I think that an active leader could greatly help the Desert of Sins herd. As I hope I have shown is that I am active.

There now hopeful that had convinced True Evil. If Innocent Seduction continued inactivity her position should be taken away. Unless of course she comes back and then this young nymph will defeat her in battle. Either or she had set her sight on gaining the position and making the herd active and great.

Sun-kissed facade was turned in the direction of Zamnor for a brief moment then towards Big Brother. Last of all squared upon True Evil the King under question. Silvery daggers continued to tear at the undergrowth patiently. Spires flicked lazily at the King awaiting his answere if he would give her the territory or sadly make her wait. Inky banner was flicked agaisnt cloudy hocks with a slow movement. Here we await life to continue it's play.

"To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering one must not love. But then one suffers from not loving. Therefore, to love is to suffer; not to love is to suffer; to suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be happy one must love or love to suffer or suffer from too much happiness."

[> [> A proposal. -- True Evil, 19:54:20 05/02/03 Fri [1]

"Firelight, if you wish to have the position of Lead Mare, so be it. But never did I once say that I judged that you would be a bad leader. But it was not so long ago that you were still a filly. Taking on the lead position is a great deal of responsibilty, something I must show." He pointedly nudges the velveteen colt, giving him a silent greeting. "If you wish that I go speak Fallen Saviour about your position, for it is not my choice whether you redeem this position, and neither is it Fallen Saviour. A challenge won, is a challenge won, whether is won fairly or not."

[> *.:Wonderland:.* -- Firelight, 22:28:30 05/02/03 Fri [1]

Chest heaved greatly dark ooids filling with distast towards the King. Ebony flints scraped the ground nose wrinkled.

I did win it fairly to.. by the rules.

Voice was laced with mistrust and slight offendence. She had won the challenge fairly and with all the rules in tack. What did he want from her?

The stallion ahems loudly. How silly could any other stallion be? "I believe she challenged because she believed in herself to the point that she would make a good leader. And apparently the challenge was fair," He says, his words laced with sharpness. He grew more and more agitated once the King had entered his conversation, and as time progressed he had begun to withdraw from the conversation, to go meditate and contemplate the future. His mind was always looking ahead, and planning.

[> More pleas. -- Zamnor, 13:14:08 05/03/03 Sat [1]

Still he holds to the ground of pleas, his attention barely wavering as he feels the eyes of his friend, Firelight, come across his slight form. Still a colt, he does think that even his father will listen to arguements from him -- only pleadings, full of pure innocence.

Quickly his eyes snap to the form of Big Brother, willing his heart to slow as he performs for the sake of these adults.

"Firelight, Big Brother," the colt begins slowly, testing the waters that lay ahead, "my father means no disrespect. Firelight, dad hasn't been able to truly come to know you, and his kingship so far has been very brief and unsteady, so I'm sure he is hesitant to make any large jumps." He swallows lightly, his gaze flicking upwards in thought. "The position is yours, Firelight, dad has said as much: so take it. We're counting on you." His features crease in a light smile; a smile from a friend to a friend. "Come on, are you gonna stay here to argue or are you gonna show us what you've got? I know you can do it, he knows can do it..." jerking his muzzle in the vague direction of Big Brother "so prove us right."

[> *.:Thankful:.* -- Firelight, 16:31:30 05/03/03 Sat [1]

Ooids soften a fraction for a moment upon the colt so near her own age of four. Ebony rocks kick at the terrain crown tossed aloft.

Thank you Zamnor.. I hope to see you again. As well for you Big Brother good luck.. True Evil goodbye.

Dial dipped towards each lightly before steady pillars turned graceful form away. Onxy peds carried her away to deal with Innocent Seduction and the rest of her own life.

{..Bad post I know sorry..}

[> Bon chance, mon amie. -- Zamnor, 17:04:59 05/03/03 Sat [1]

The colt watches the young mare leave them, a smile still bright in his gaze. "The best of luck, my friend." He whispers softly, willing his good wishes to wrap around her and aid her in all the hard times ahead. But she can do it -- he said he knows that, and he means it. Suppressing a sigh of indecisive meanning, he slips his dark eyes to the rivaling stallions. Silently he watches them.

[> While you were busy chatting.... -- Ziraga, 10:07:15 05/05/03 Mon [1]

The slender golden stallion looks up from the position from whence he had been listening all this time, in the appearance of placid grazing. His chlorine-green eyes stop in turn to corrode the pretensions of each standing in this group, eating away to their soul which he surveys before moving onto the next. The one that proves the most interesting to lay bare is this newcomer, Big Brother; a stallion similar to himself in ambition, yet so unlike in method and motivation. A few easy, languid steps take him closer to both the interloper and the present so-called 'King'.

"Sirs," the Russian Arabian drawls in the voice he reserves for elegant irony and idle sarcasm, "I regret to report to you that during this time you have spent bandying words and noble sentiments, a new development has recently come to light. I informed you of this at the place known as Challenge Cliff... I will wait for you there to discuss the matter. Kindly be prompt or I shall be forced to take matters into my own hooves." With a quick, sharp, final toss of his unusually pure white mane, the palomino breaks into a long-striding canter off to the land where blood is shed.

[> Hate? -- Zamnor, 17:27:15 05/05/03 Mon [1]

Motionless, the colt had watched the stallion approach and leave through narrowed eyes. When finally the sarcastic brute is gone, his body shivers, doused in a cold splash of emotions that the youth cannot fully comprehend. His heart quails and shivers under the force, his mind halted from continuing its course. For minutes he is frozen as if under a spell, and it feels -- to him -- like hours before he again awakens. Gritting his teeth, he shakes his own, blackened mane, his eyes closed as he wills the stress to leave him. Then he straightens, anger lashing his wild, tangled tail as he glances around at the adults. Now. Turning, his gaze shoots over the landscape to where the distant form of the palimino dwindles into the horizon. He urges his young legs into a steady canter, preparing himself for the trials ahead as he follows the broken path of the stallion.
