Honestly, it was not the words he spoke, but the manner in which he spoke that annoys her. Clearly, his intelligence in the abstract was high, yet his skills in the concrete world were all but obsolete. She refrains from speaking such words. Rudeness she forces herself to withhold, though obviously this stallion held little interest to her.

Yet with such thoughts came curiosity. What made him such a way? He was invincible to the tongue. A rare gift...a curse, as well. “How fare you, Big Brother? You speak...you hear...yet you do not respond.”

"Very perceptive of you," he drawls, sensing her frustration. "That's what I do. I only interject my two cents when necesarry." He was ill at ease with himself, and watched her with very well concealed interest, attempting to predict when she would blow up, or leave.
