«ebon' steed paws the firm ground littered with gleaming white bones with a strong, small hoof, and then rolls eyes in disgust. he had been residing here for only a short while and was already bored out of his mind. perhaps he should plan a sojourn to another tt for comparison. lobes lay low against skull, not in warning, but merely out of boredom; was there anything to do in this terra? optics search for another to converse with or at least supply him with a way out of his dull mood. hide gleams silver despite it's shadowy hue under the dim light as sinewy muscles beneath contract and release with the fidgeting. he wanted action and would not be satisfied in any way until he was appeased» |
«gaze is averted towards the young femme with a curious, yet dark, glare. lobes swivel to listen to her utterance, tail lashing at his flanks and then dropping back, ebon' tresses returning to their former position. what kind of question was that?» |
«snorts softly in surprise, optics narrowing as he took a second look at the filly. she seemed fierce and to be a quick learner; perhaps he should help her...dial tosses, ears flickering back for a moment as he decided on the actions he would take in response to the filly's request» |
«rolls his eyes at her naivete, but says nothing nonetheless. of course stallions and mares were different, did she not understand how the ways "normal" herds were run? the stallion would run at the back of the herd when fleeing from danger so he could fight and protect the mares in his harem. for the purpose of fighting, stallion had special front teeth and are generally built slightly different. how to explain...» |
«nods his elegant dial, ebon' mane cascading down the off-side of his neck as opposed to the near side as it was "supposed" to. how should he begin? by lectures, examples, he did not know. let's start at the beginning...» |
«his mood began to sour as she sarcastically addressed him and chose the way he thought would be best for the situation. concentrating hard on the task at hand, the dour bronc cleared his throat and began» |
«ebon' muzzle tips downward in somewhat of a nod of approval at her response. pretty sharp for a filly, but if she'd asked him, of all horses, for help, then she'd learn what she needed to in order to battle to win» |
«the taunt made his heart seeth with rage, but I'm a teacher, he kept reminding himself. things like this are typical. nevertheless, his legs refused his commands to charge forth into "battle" with the pupil and causes more frustration than the stallion already had. taking a moment to calm his system down to take whatever would befall it, the stallion begins jogging towards the filly, head low, ivories glinting as he displayed his weaponry. a battle cry was trumpeted as nares flared. you must be a loser he kept reminding himself, so he began to show the characteristics. his right shoulder remained vulnerable as well as the nape of his neck and withers. tail flagged behind him, but only as a mere display of overconfidence. she'd win, but would she learn?» |
«the stallion tensed for a moment, expecting her to grasp his purposely unguarded shoulder, but instead the fem chose a different route to roll down. unfortunately for her, this change would bring both positive and negative consequences. first, she had surprised him, but second, he found that by her rearing up to grab at his neck towards his withers, there was an easy grab available at her belly and jugular vein. hmmm...choices, choices...finally, right before her jaws clamp on, he bares sharp ivories, glinting light reflected from the haphazardly strewn bones beneath, and lunges towards her jugular vein, just beneath her throatlatch so her mandable(sp?) would nay be able to grasp his neck if he aimed as correctly as he had calculated. would this teach her to keep her body protected at all times, even when being on the offense?» |
«apparently enjoying the delightful little "learning experience", the ebon' bronc uses his powerful muscles to launch the hulking mass of his short-statured form harder into her fore, but then quickly checked himself as he remembered "loser, teacher, not winner..." and allowed himself to easily be overthrown if she so chose. once his body slammed into the firm terra, he would call the fight to terminate and would explain more about battling before they tried again, this time in earnest» |
«nigrescent hide slams into the earth, driving with the inertia of a horse triple his size. the fall was so powerful his breath was knocked away, strewn towards the heavens above, leaving the bronc rather want for air. lobes lay flat on skull as the "loser" the stallion portrayed gave a fake moan of grief and sorrow at losing before he heaved himself up, gaunt frame puffing lightly. 'twas a rather good show, ole chap» |
«bright, livid eyes show a stark contrast to his dull, shadowy pelt, but what was beauty anyways? her humour would normally have been received quite well, were it not the dour mood he'd caused to pop into spontaneously. flints dig at the firm soil as the bronc attempts to lodge his body in the ground to mull over the myriad thoughts pounding in his head. what was he to ever become in life-a battle teacher that wasn't even worth his weight in dirt? hmmm...maybe this profession should be rethought a bit, although he was benefitting society in a way» |
«tendrils frame the ebony face as the Fell leans crania downward to nibble at random blades of nourishment. lobes swivel back in boredom, though he does listen to the filly's "regurgitation". perhaps she would learn more at the Battling Academy, for he could certainly use a trip or two there to brush up on his formerly nonexistant skills. now there's an idea...but wouldn't that be a pop in his pride bubble? hmmm...» |
