I see what you mean (possibly what you mean by the feminine sentiance within us all?)...but because hes male maybe he does not. The fact that women and men are opposite shows that there will be a natural battle for either of these sides to prove "which is the better sex"...its a natural instinct...competition...survival and all.
I think it goes back to when man first appeared on earth...the males were geared heavily towards physical power, whereas women were not born to possess such strength. It has been proven that women are of higher intelligence (in general, im not saying 'women are better than men'...we just have a natural affinity to attain our attention span, listen to others, and voice opinion without it turning into an argument - a competition in effect.) because man at first was the physical side of the team of man and women, competition is what they lived for- survival of the fittest. To hunt you had to be strong, if you werent it was fatal and so when weaker competitors if you wish were wiped out, they were most likely seen as the stronger out of the male group and looked up to. Maybe this is what has remained in the male instict for centuries - winning the competition gets you followers and looked up to, when in effect it doesnt always. Just because the majority vote you in, means the rest dont really like you!
So, if we figure than man is the physical force- being strong and showing that nothing can harm you means blocking out the emotions.
If your female then maybe logic prevails. We know the right way to do things with least fuss and minimum effort (kids etc! im sure you know all about that delena!!). Logic means that surely getting emotions out lets people know where they stand - how you feel and you can work your way forward from then. A man showing emotion means that he has lost the competition between his other competitors....it is a fatal move to them.
Although you say that: "only after the storm passes (through
tears, or any other sort of healthy outlets for anger
and aggression) can we approach life with a
clear-headed perspective. and that's true for anyone,
not just women." i know that although tears are good, and letting your emotion show is a lot better than keeping it in, bursts of anger can be a strain on the heart and lead to raised blood pressure etc...maybe it shows that in the masterplan of man and women there is a flaw. if there are two sides that are bound to clash then when it leads to the hate and anger, it is doing us damage? I amthouroughly confused on this point.
Im not sure i agree with the "in his
madness lies the holy man's power. only in this case,
it's woman and her state of constant flux."....sure women have something there - we are the ones that carry children round for 9months bonding and leting it grow within us, but men make up half of that creation. im not really sure what it was that i wanted to say on that point....i know that its not just women that have that "holy mans power" - men have a sense of awareness, feelings, morals etc. They have everything women have, just not the means to show it sometimes. Some men can, saying that though, so i suppose it all comes down the chemicals - levels of oestrogen and testosterone in everyone, the way people have been brought up to behave emotionally etc (being taught to show emotions and be compassionate to the same and opposite sex).
Im lost now!
Ill be replying to this tomorrow - this is very interesting!
