oh, i'm sorry to laugh at your emotional scars (j/k) but that little bit on your cooking was hilarious. i've had moments like those.
like the time i was making rolls and left the dough to rise, and came back to check on it three days later after i remembered it. or like that other time when i was making chocolate souffle and added a bit too much baking powder, and during a lapse of all reason whatsoever put the souffle in the microwave instead of the lunch i was reheating for myself and the entire thing blew up. or the time that i decided to pass the time playing a chopin piece on the piano while i waited for the oil to heat in the pan for floutas (mexican apple turnovers, yummm) and it got too hot, i was absorbed in the 15th bar of music, trying to get the timing just right, and the whole kitchen went up in this huge fireball that my dad saw from the backyard through the kitchen window. (and no, the house didn't burn down. it just looked really really cool)
but for the most part, when i'm focused and paying strict attention, every single one of my dishes turns out perfectly. i'm one of those seven-course pull-out-all-the-stops kind of chef. i've been cooking since i was six (come home after school and start making dinner because mommy was working) and i absolutely love it. the more complicated and fancy, the better. and mexican and italian are my specialities.
okay, 'nuff rambling. my answers:
simpsons. southpark was hilarious the first season, but then it went really downhill. and really, all i like is mr. hanky the christmas poo episode, chef's 'chocolate salty balls' song, and 'kyle's mom is a big fat b***" song.
not that simpsons doesn't have it's downside, too. homer just needs to be capped in the knees. something small, like a .20, or even a .40 but whatever you use, he just needs to be capped. otherwise, it's a great show.
cooking! not that i'm not a neat freak and am always cleaning up around here. once a month i go through this spree of cleaning everything top to bottom (i even wash the walls). then, after that's done, i do a whole load of baking. i've finally come to accept that it's just a hormonal thing...but still, cooking all the way, baby.
SUN SUN SUN! which makes absolutely no sense because i'm a self-procclaimed child of the night, but still....SUN SUN SUN! i LOVE the sun. the hotter it is, the better. i thrive when it's over 100 degrees outside. sure, i bake just like everyone else, but i relish it. when i was younger i'd lather up with baby oil and suntan for a couple of hours. my tan's one of those coconut golden tans, and i don't burn unless i'm excessively tanning. of course, being pure hispanic gives me a headstart. we latinos were born for the heat. it's the cold i can't stand! good thing i'm not a vampire, i'd have no chance of surviving a week! lol
okay, that's about it! now that everyone's bored to tears... :0)
ps. i downloaded the demo to that new game Alice. i'll let you know what i think. but so far it's creepy as hell! during the intro i was debating whether or not to turn on the lights. it was, of course, after midnight.....
