i have no titles for any of my poems (yet) so they're all still 'works in progress'. this one is very unpolished and not even completed. it's going to be a story when i'm done with it. that is, if i ever finish the damn thing! lol

anyways, here it is...

the pile of bones from the bodies of those
slaughtered by the beast pile high.
nowhere for me to sanctuary flee
as, suiting, my death draws nigh.

i hear footfalls hollow of Doom as he follows
the sweat-drenched scent of stark fear.
helpless withal, my back to the wall
and for my fate, narry a tear.

i hold my hands high
to not meet his eye
and i cover my sight from Death's face.
but i can see well
my own corner of hell
and of me, he leaves not a trace.....

and that's it. that's all i have as of right now. what do you guys think? should i leave it? leave it as a dark, ominous little piece? lemme know what you think. and i have lots more poetry where that came from!
