i'm missing something, and i feel like a total ass!

"my first is in boulder, i have a stone" - i don't know
"my second is found in an apple alone" - the letter A
"My third is found at the end of a hem" - the letter M
"my fourth starts a stick, a stop, and a stem" - the letter S
"my fifth is in the middle of pop, but not pip" - the letter O
"my sixth comes first in not and nip" - the letter N
"my first half can stop a broad rivers flow" - a dam, so the first letter is D, though i don't quite understand the "i have a stone" connection
"my second half's no daughter, the other you know" - *duh* son
"I'm found in Puddin' and pie and good wine" - the letter I?
"I know your name, can you tell me mine?" - no i can't, because i'm a dumbass! lol

well, i got as far as putting letters together, and i got 'damson' which is a plum!

that's the answer! it's a plum! whoa, so that's what it feels like when the lightbulb goes on!
