I went with Scotty, ordered mine over the phone from Canada where they're made through
http://www.berrysbait.com/1/01/1003.htm
Figured I saved almost 200 bucks.
Ordered it two days before Christmas got it before new years.
I fish a small boat solo so I went with the 1099 a short boom electric.
Right now they are on sale at Berry's $419 Canadian converts to $313 US
I paid $460 Canadian but back then the dollor was stronger and ended up paying $249 US.
If it wasn't for Berry's Savings I would of gone manual.
More Scotty's...(you just can't touch these prices local)
Strong arm 24 currently sells for $149 (USD)
1050 Depthmaster (104.62 USD)
1060 Depthking (125.54 USD)
Personally I wouldn't buy anything less then a 1060. It has a two foot a turn ratio compared to the 1050's on ft per turn.
The strong arms are bullet proof if I was buying one tomarrow I'd probably go with a strong arm 24.
