Tasi,

Point taken but there is not much tax money to go around for everyone.Tax payers are minority in the country where less than 20% of us pay tax every fortnight. That is why govenment has to borrow yearly to supplement the budget. But each time we borrow, we put future generation's life in jeopardy as the future revenues are mortgaged.

In a bigger picture scenario I am alluding to, we need to appreciate that MPS are not the only answer to our problems and miseries. If everyone of us work hard and contribute meaningfully, the nation will be strong and there will be little need for the government to borrow.

The construction of roads and bridges is no doubt every government's duty & priority. These are necessary to enhancing access to economic opportunites. The civilised nation should be able to identify its threats and opportunities and make reasonable and objective development strategies. These infrastructure developments should come without lobbying or politicking. These are where tax kina's must be spent for the benefit of all.

For us educated to find a solution as to how to maximise our individual gains from the limited funds that the politicians carry around is only putting our interests ahead of the province and country. We need to stop this as theres not enough in the bag to go around. What we neeed to do now is to influence policy changes so that limited resources are directed to high impact areas where everyone (including the country) will benefit. In this way we will build a stronger province and country hence everyone will have more opportunities for advancing their economic wellbeing.
