John - I was at the show too (see my message before) and was similarly disappointed - at least during the upbeat numbers. When he played "You Can't Get What You Want" I was bopping away in my seat and singing along (in tune - I have a pretty good voice!) and was glared at by my neighbour, even though I could hear Joe above me.

I can understand maybe during the quieter numbers (like "Be Ny Number Two") people just want to listen, but c'mon everyone, Joe didn't write those faster songs so we could all sit there!! I even stood up to boogie for "Stranger Than Fiction" and really enjoyed a release of energy.

We are pretty staid as a nation John, but I remember the Big World, Blazy of Glory and Laughter & Lust tours and there was more life to those audiences in London (not so much on Night Music). Maybe we're just getting old - Personally I'm gonna be 19 forever...
