Part of the problem in trying to discuss these things is that people can only really communicate to the extent that they have experienced similar things, or at least close enough to whatever they are trying to discuss that the jump is not too great. Teh only exception, in my experience, is when transferring information by thought images, for example during instruction in spritual matters when often far more than normally audible words can be conveyed from one to the other. This is why I keep asking for some sense of what you yourself have experienced, so that I can try to receive how best to convey what I would like to.
At any rate, of course, on a certain level, one can just enjoy whatever level of peace they are able to experience in meditation and make no effort to help others to experience the same, or more. But we must ask ourselves, why the heck did God create all of this in the first place? He/She/It wants to be conscious in the creation. We are the way he chose to enable Himself to experience. It is not Christian. It is not Hindu, or Buddhist, or anything else. It is simply Reality that God wants to be as personal as you will let Him. And when you experience the kind of love I am tallking about, you will not be able to jsut sit around and enjoy yourself in meditation, you will be moved by Divine Compassion to do all you can to relieve the suffering of all sentient beings. Your consciousness will be different than it is now. Does this make any sense? If you have never felt or experienced in anyway at least some small degree of the kind of love that emanates from God's presence (either directly or through another in whom that presence is strong), then it would be very difficult for you to understand what I am saying. Fortunately, this kind of understanding is available to anyone who makes a sincere effort to pursue God. As Yogananda used to say, one must get devotion and pursue God until he reveals himself. Do not settle for anything less. It is your birthright. Do not sell yourself short by thinking that you cannot achieve it. Perhaps things have happened in your life that make you feel like you are just not one of htose people that is ever going to achieve what I am talking about, but it is possible for anyone. A saint (a realized man or woman) is just a sinner who never gave up trying to convince God to reveal Itself.
You seem to be denying yourself the possibility of the undreamed of possibilities that exist. Deep inside, do you feel like you have settled for less in this life than is really possible for you?
