What I knew before I entered this life, I pretty much forgot until I was 22. So in the context of this life, mind and books came first ...then, suddenly, in answer to my prayers for direction from God, reality and memory began to come back. What I wrote is based upon my sense of how the creation works, a sense that has grown partly from being reminded by Divine Spirit as to why I came into this life, and partly from ongoing revelation that comes by God's grace. The way that virtue manifests is always changing. There is the Absolute, of course, but there is no absolute expression of the Absolute in the creation. Part of the purpose of the creation is to allow Spirit to share Its love with Itself in ever changing ways. Ramakrishna used to teach that one should spend time meditating upon God and how He manifests in the creation, but also time spent in meditation upon the absolute being, the Unmanifest, Thatness. What I would call Christ Consciousness, from my personal experience, involves becoming conscious of the light within ourselves and all other beings. What I would call Cosmic consciousness is a step beyond: becoming conscious of the unmanifest boundless immensity that is that Being that we call God. It is kind of hard to put these things into words. Have you in this life had any times when God has revealed Himself in any way to you? Like when the star in the spiritual eye begins to pulse and move toward you and becomes this Sun that fills your vision? Or been awakened by that Being of Light at night or in the morning to meditate with It? Or you are calling out to Spirit and suddenly it is like the top of your head just disapears and all you can see is this incredible Light and you feel this incredible love emanating from It and It is telling you that you can know anything you want about anything in the entire universe, but regardless of what questions you may have had, you no longer care at all for any answers because every desire is fulfilled by what you are experiencing? You seem to be asking how it is I know the things I have written. I guess I am trying to say that if you have experienced any of these things, then you have a sense of what I am trying to convey. Does that help?
