Meko sat gleefully on Lily’s shoulder. She was to watch him and his sister while Serenity was on the ground. He had only recently completely recovered from the distress of his first flight, which was nearly his last. He was at last happy, and fully rested. He had been frail from the almost fatal flight, but was now stronger. Then, a piercing shriek overcame him. He looked to see the striking emerald. He looked to Lily, asking for permission. She didn’t seem to mind The little blue’s spirit almost disintegrated with the bliss and passion that filled him, and he eagerly chased the green with all his newfound force. Her beauty enticed him. He didn’t know anything but her. She was his goddess, and he would follow her eternally. His astonishing love for her gave him the daring to sing, sing to her with all his diminutive heart. He sent her thoughts. Thoughts of his eternal love. [] Wherever you may go, beloved beauty, I will follow with all my strength. Even if your voyage leads me to the face of the blaze and tragedy of even Rukbat itself, I will follow with courage and bravery. If your path leads to a thick patch of the horrific thread that would mean the end, I would dash before of you and save you, even if it destined my life would be taken from me. I will never depart from you, my love. If it meant to depart this life, I would follow with no hesitation in mind. I will never leave you alone, and I will love you forever and a day. My undying love for you is the strongest of all loves. No flit could possibly love you as much as I could ever do so. [] He realized that this love was true; the first flight he was in, he didn’t experience this warmth he felt for the emerald beauty. He really loves this one. He could pursue her wherever she may go. His body imitated every little twist of the jewels’ body. [] Where my body may possibly fail, my soul will strengthen me by three times. [] Everyone seemed to believe he had it all, but they were erroneous. He couldn’t make her care for him. But he must strive to demonstrate her how much he truly cared. The notion of being close to her was incomparable. He knew he ought to be satisfied with his petite existence, but he desired her. She was his shining star, his beacon of life. He was entering this flight in the name of love. There was none other like her. She was perfect, and he needed her more than everything the land of Pern could ever hope to offer. [] Sweet rapture love, please, don’t forsake me! I beg you, please, try to love me as I love you. Just give me a chance… []
