Here is where all fire lizards may fly. Bronzes and maybe browns can fly golds; bronzes, browns, and blues can fly greens. Flits must be at least one real-time week old to fly. Greens lay from 2-10 eggs (no queen egg) and golds lay 20-30 eggs (might have queen egg). The clutch is laid at the Beach, and greens usually leave (though their owner can stay to hand the eggs out) and golds will always stay and guard (normally the owner stays as well). The queen or green will say who caught her, NOT the male flit. Please keep every flight in its own thread. Multiple simultaneous flights are not only allowed but encouraged. Good luck!

An eccentrically glowing wing of gold slipped silently out of the depths of between, far from unnoticeable. The gleaming crimson gaze blazed with passion as the delicate throat opened to allow a scream of pure emotion, and the wings beat hard against the wind to push it aside, out of her way. The gold had grown large since the moment of her birth, and the tail and wings acted now as swift, efficient yet beautiful flight aids, so that her awkward flight of a child was replaced with the grace of a goddess, her heritage, the Gold. Now, all those practices, all her experience would come down to the test.

Screaming in her pure might, the beauty dove hard towards a gathering of small mice. Grabbing hard into the flesh of the largest, she felt the ecstasy of blood on her talons, the intoxicating smell of warm meat. She dropped it hard on the ground, breaking its neck in the process, and pounced at her kill. She attempted a gorge, but felt a strange sort of instinct in the back of her mind. Why should she waste her time with the entire fleshy substance when she could just take the wonderful blood, the life-fluid she craved? Feeling it was important to stay light and lithe—though she had yet to understand why—she brought her fangs gently, almost lovingly to the neck of the creature, and sucked it dry. Feeling a sudden rush of energy like a drug, she eagerly sought out another, and did likewise. Within moments, she had taken three field mice and was considering a fourth, but suddenly the blood didn’t appeal to her any longer.

Now, she wanted to fly. And she wanted to fly long, hard, and fast.

Spreading her great wingspan, which was much longer than a normal flit’s in her growth, she gave a mighty down-sweep at the same time she sprung out with her back talons, sending her rushing into the air at inhuman speed (which could easily be expected from a flit, when thought about). Feeling a sweet ripple of emotion though her body, she gave a strong, unwavering call of challenge. Challenge for what she had yet to know, but she was acting upon instinct and impulse now, and it had worked beautifully for her so far. She screamed again in pure bliss, and ripped through the air desperately. For once, she had the wonderful envision of males of every colour and size chasing her, and she evaded them easily in her mind’s eyes. Well, maybe she’d just have to make that come true!

Let anyone try... Yasha was ready for them!

A scream erupted from a small, emerald beast as she zipped through between as if just passing through a stream of water and not a space of complete nothingness. The minute creature screams again in her pleasure, and dives down, blooding three kills and then shooting up, her body glimmering in the light of the sun.

So what if the humans were all celebrating a hatching? She was in flight, and that meant males needed to be here for her NOW!

Little green Luna's eyes flashed as she made her way into the air. Eyes whirling wildly, she knew by instinct what to do. Screeching, she dove at a small rodent, and quickly blooded the kill. Three more were downed after that, before her thirst was quenched.

Tetsuya was almost instantly at her side. Popping from between, he crooned to the green.

Luna took flight, screeching her glee. This was fun! And the bronze one was chasing her!

However, Luna was inexperienced. After a few loops, she found herself crashing into the bronze by accident-- and the flight was over.

( Sorry if this seems like I'm interrupting your flight, Tully, but you seem to be inactive. I just took lots of eggs from the clutch that was just laid, so I feel I should ah.. replenish. XD )

D'ctor was away. Whoth and Adric were asleep.

Romana had always been a snappy flit, as if she were perpertually on the verge of flying. Therefore, D'ctor hadn't noticed his little green acting unusual lately.. but oh, how she was.

Romana paces on the quilted bed, stepping harshly on Adric's brown tail when it flicked sleepily into her path. She finally gives up and flings herself out the crack in the window that their Impressor always left open for them. Wings the colour of fresh grass, caught in the middle of a spring morning's dew, spread and carry the small firelizard over the bowl and finally over the ridge, after a while of flapping. She just needed to spread her pinions and fly. Fly.. Something pulses pinkly in the back of her mind. Magenta. Violet. Red.

Something catches her attention in the trees below. She chirrups, spotting the fleeting hides of her own kind, and dives nimbly down to greet them. But little Romana doesn't quite know what to make of it, but her instincts to. Green and brown flash as Kree and Buck part, having not spotted their watcher. This sparks it.

Romana gives a long wailing shriek to the night, clinging to the branch for a moment as she fought with the opened floodgate of flightlust. Her hide begins to glow more prominently, like green glass with Rukbat behind. She breathes heavily, faceted eyes now dominated by reds and purples and pinks and oranges, all vortexing slowly toward the terminus at the center of each great pool. The green lunges from her perch and snaps through the undergrowth, unsheathing talons to pierce the body of a rodent that attempted to flee from her wrath. This, she drains, indulging on a bite or two, before finding a second. This is only partially blooded before she is sated, the adrenaline of the feast coursing in her body. Romana's wings carry her up, up, up and over the canopy, her shrieks formed into eerie singing.

((Yeah...didn't realise another flit had posted till I had posted her going between...ah well. She can be a bad layer and just ahve two eggs!))

Popping from between with the abruptness she had entered it with, Tully gave a scream into the waiting air, pleased at the sound. The old call of instinct was pulling her…and she answered it with glee, pouncing on a small rodent and sucking in the blood as ravenously as any dragon. Her hide began to glow subtly as she pushed up from the earth, letting out another mating call to any male who was around.
Not even a bronze could get her!

((It seems that we haven't had a flight or clutch in a while, and poor Kree's never had a chance to fly before. *pats her*))

Although sleeping on R'ven's shoulder is usually Kree's favorite activity, because she feels comfortable while drowsing and safe and secure while near her beloved human, she's been on edge and restless lately, and it isn't because the bigger firelizards have been harassing her. Admittedly, gold Athena has been giving her the oddly territorial looks that only other firelizards get, firelizards that have no claim on R'ven yet try to come close to him, and bronze Vey has been practically on top of her (which is very annoying when you're just a little green trying to get some sleep, and he's a big bronze with an attitude and no manners). Kree is far from young, almost ten Turns old, but she's never felt this odd anxiety before, the swinging moods and the constant urge to movement and the bizarre impulse to alternately rip Vey to shreds or rub up against him and croon. In fact, it's almost frightening, and only the gentle assurances of the big green who has first claim on R'ven and promises her that this is normal and all greens go through it keep her from panicking and diving to hide under R'ven's bed for a sevenday. And though Kree doesn't notice it, not being in the habit of looking at herself, her usually dull forest-green hide is beginning to shine and sparkle quite a bit more than it normally does.

And then, five days into the odd feelings (as if her own body is doing things without her permission, quite unnerving), something inside the small green just snaps. With a shrill shriek worthy of a dragon, Kree launches herself from R'ven's shoulder with such violence that her talons tear his shirt and plunges between, emerging far from the Weyr. Far by firelizard standards, anyway, outside the Bowl and far below the dragon flight ranging high above the island. This is jungle, and normally Kree would be afraid, but right now there's no fear in her, nothing but a burning desire to- what? To do something, and she's not sure what, but she's just going to go with the flow right now because she's not sure she can do anything but. There are rodents here, she knows it, having hunted in the jungle before in the big green's company, and she ranges through the undergrowth until one leaps from its burrow with a frightened squeal right in front of her snout. She's a little green and it's a big rodent, but she brings it down quickly and easily, tripping it up by pulling its long ears and snapping its neck in the process. Tearing its throat out, Kree greedily sucks out the blood, and as she's so little and it's so big she finds herself satisfied by the time it's drained and white. With another 'lizard shriek, she leaps from the ground and finds herself in the air, weaving through the jungle and adroitly dodging branches with her hide glowing bright and her rapidly spinning eyes the solid red of lust. Now, she expects, the males will come. She's not sure why, but she knows that this is going to involve males, and they'd better come if they know what's good for them!

((C'mon, boys, somebody needs to show her a good time! And if you don't, she'll find you and hurt you, because she's evil like that. FEAR the firelizard. *grin*))

With a scream, Gipsy shoots out of Between and spirals into the air, green hide brilliant and eyes sparking with lust. Barely a moment passes before she's plummeting towards the earth, claws plunging into a rodent and killing it instantly. She bloods it messily, the red vibrant against her hide, then launces into the air, voice echoing in a challenge.

With a powerful shriek, Nagaina launched into the air, her glowing golden hide stained from the blood of her kill. She rejoiced in the flight – her long, slender body obeyed her implicitly, and her wings seemed even better than they normally here. She dove and spun, looped-the-loop, and flew right up to the clouds, screeching her own prowess to the bronzes that would dare look to fly her.
Who could fly her? She was wonderful, beautiful…amazing! She was unbeatable!

The green flew in, from between, her hide glowing and anticipating to fly. Her owner ran in, and stopped to catch her breath. Then the green screamed a challange, for any male to Attempt to catch her. She flew high and screamed her challange again. Her owner, Aylana, who finally had caught her breath, looked up at the green and smiled.

The majestic golden figure popps from betweeen, almost too quiet for detection. however, this quickly changes, as a scream erupts from the beautious creauture, and she looks around, her eyes growing steadily redder with an undying hunger. Hissing in triumph, she screams, and flies down upon a large rodent. Four more are downed after this one, giving her strenghth to fly. And fly she would.

The scream was like a volcanic eruption from the female, her eyes glowing wonderfully in a lovely rage. She screamed again, daring any and all males to try and touch her! She was the queen of the skies, and not even a full grown bronze dragon would bring her down! She darted up, flying faster and farther than ever before. She screamed her third challenege, her eyes glowing with anger-- and longing.

With the scream that every fire-lizard uses when she is ready to mate, Raksha burst from between in a flurry of golden wings. With the madness of mating head all over her, she dove and grabbed a rodent in her sharp talons, the blood driving her almost insane with lust.
Her screech this time was louder, and she shot upwards with the speed borne of mating anger, and her defiance plain.
The moment he had seen that Raksha was in heat, Garth had left his human to come to her. True, they had the same human, but that just made him all the more passionate. He was hers, and he would be hers for his whole life, for as long as their human lived to support them!
The sun glinted from his hide, sending out blinding reflections to her. His song was one of love, one of adoration, and one of devotion. He wanted her. He needed her. He loved her. If she would love him back…
Her body twisted and turned with newfound agility, her wings doing whatever she asked of them. She defied this bronze that pursued her. How dare he think of catching her? She was unmatchable! Nothing could defeat her! No. She would not let him!
Deftly dodging him, she dove downwards, daring him to new feats of acrobatics, hissing and squealing her anger at Garth. So what if their human was the same? That didn’t matter! He would never be hers, as she would never be his.
She was too good!
She was wonderful!
With a deep cry, he followed her down, up, over, around. Everywhere. He was hers, totally in her thrall and not even thinking of what could happen. He just knew that he had to catch her. He had to have her! He had to let he have him!
His body mirrored hers as he flew under her, their metallic hides mixing in blinding light as he reached up…up…
With an agonised screech, Raksha’s lust left her. She allowed Garth to catch her, to hold her, to mix with her in the closest way possible. He was hers now.
With a sigh she left for the beach, telling him to go and get W’ntyr now!

Soft, golden wings appear from between, accompanied by a small shreik. Daintily, Nazereth swoops upon three small creatures, each tossed aside, bloodless. The red glow in her eyes of the beautiful rage of flight. A screech rips through the air, stopping all movement of the rodents below. She ripped through the air effertlessly, screeching her hunger of flight, the lust of her passion, needing to escape...
None would catch this beauty!

Kali’s razor sharp, golden talons wrapped around the body of a small rodent, breaking its back. Her slim tongue quested, tasting. The blood that filled her mouth coursed through her veins, and she looked up, fury welling up inside her. She would fly, and who would catch her? Nobody, that's who! She screamed a challenge to the heavens, and left the ground, shooting up into the clear sky. Another cry left her, and she began some wild acrobatics in midair. Who would dare chase her?

A golden flicker came from between, grabbing a large rodent and sucking it dry. She was young. Very young. But old enough to know what was to happen now. With stregnth and agility, she springs up, an shreiks, the loudest, most terrifying shreik you could ever hear. Then, she is visible. She is lightning fast, and extremely small for her color. But the gold looks around, shreiking again, bulleting around with her long, thin wings. She was the fastest queen you'd ever see. Did anyone think themselves worthy of the minute queen?

A young gold flitted above the trees. She saw a large rodent, and bombed. Blooding it, she leaps on another one. Tossing it aside, she takes to the air. Before she is thoroughly entralled with her lust, she sends a mental statment to her Impresor. I'll be fine! I will be back soon. Mithradil and Hero will help you!
Then, lust takes over. Caawing frantically, she cries her lust out to the bronzes. If a brown dared follow her, she'd fly him to the ground.
Let them come! She was named for the whiteest shores, she could do anything!

The light that radiated form Raksha’s hide became a blur as she moved her wings, and seemed to float about her like fire. She spread her pinions wide, casting aside the carcass of her prey with contempt, and raised her head to let out a cry of challenge that made every small animal nearby creep into its hole and stay there. She leaped into the air, shrieking again, and hovered, waiting for her pursuers. Last time a bronze had caught her. Would he come again, or would another succeed?

SHe took down four rodents, sucking the fluids from the carcasses quickly, then power surged through her hide. She zoomed up, and a loud cry, more terrifying and enwrapping than the sirens' song. She flies on, twisting about and screeching her dare throughout the land. This was her first flight, and no flit would catch her!

Kin looked up from the carcass of the rodent that had been unfortunate enough to be caught by her. The blood she had tasted sent something not unlike fire through her veins, and she let out a harsh shriek. Spreading her wings wide, she leapt from the ground, her song once again echoing through the sky. The sunlight on her wings was reflected, and she seemed to have an aura, a radiance, that surrounded her entire form. She was here, she was flying, and no flit would catch her!!

With a harsh shriek, the young green left the blackness of between to enter the sunlight on the other side. She dived down, and grabbed an unwitting rodent, breaking it's back in one, swift movement. After sucking the carcass dry, she left it on the earth and spiralled upwards. Her cry of challenge was hair-raising as she spread her wings wide, her hide glowing and her eyes blazing. Would she be caught?

The smallish green burst from between, flying gracefully on her lusty wings. She swooped in and, like a vampire, sucked three small rodents dry. Power burst within her, causing her to glow like the moon at midnight. She surged up at her normal top speed, now just too easy for her. She shreiks, and it is as enveloping and terrifying as the siren song. There is a hint of sadness in her voice, for her owner. she had never left her, but she'd be back! she shreiks again, daring any male withwings to chase her, to just try and get close...

She quickly swooped down on four large rodents, gracefully breaking their neck before bite down, sucking it's blood, and then tossing it aside, her hide surging with power and light. A scream, more terrifying and endorsing than the mightiest siren song. She screeches again, launching with the power of a dragon off the ledge.She soared about, eyes glowing red, searching frantically for the one good enought to be her mate. They'd have to really fight for her!

The extremely small green bursts from between, her eyes glowing red with angry, anxious feelings of desired love. A large gold burst out of thin air. She lept upon a large rodent, sucking it dry of blood. She lept on two more, each larger than the last. Then, glowing golden, she took to the sky. She immediately went into a cloud, and called for bronzes. Then, realizing that the bronzes wouldn't be able to follow her in there, at least not now. She dropped, and skimmed the top of waves. She called, and called, and called for bronzes(allright, /maybe/ the odd brown), to come.
