Hello Carole,
The train wreck occurred Nov. 5, 1967. Robin and his first wife Molly were returning from a vacation, when they were involved in this horrific wreck in which 49 people were killed. Robin relates that after he and Molly got out, he aided in pulling the injured and dead from the wreckage.
Fortunately, he and Molly were badly shaken but not injured.
Molly and Rob's divorce was final in Dec. 1982, but he had already hooked up with his present wife, Dwina. They had a son, born Jan. 1983, and they married July 31, 1985. Robin no longer wears his wedding ring, at least not in pictures from about 8 yr ago to present. I agree, he appears not smiling or sad looking on most recent photos. I hope he is happy.
I think it's wonderful that you have rekindled your interest in the group! It's never to late to appreciate the finer things in life, like the genius that is the BeeGees!
