Thier use was lacking, and Wily's final desicion was to have them all self destruct. He still needed time to perfect Zero, but that would come soon. Zero was still young, and his programming circutry was not complete. Wily was also thinking about his ace in the hole. Base-W still had Mega Man, or so he thought. Duo had been clever, and unknown to everyone there, he had broke in, and rescued Mega Man. He held Mega in his arms, and flew toward Earth. His power was fading fast, since he was using a portion of it to shield Mega Man from the sun's harsh ultraviolet rays. The atmosphere's friction against his shield also took alot out of him. He was nearly exhausted, but he managed to make ground fall. He landed, somewhere in the Canadian wilderness, and decided he could take no more. Hitting the ground, he dropped Mega Man, and toppled over from exhaustion. It would be days before his own power cells soaked up enough energy for him to get going again.
