I am 15 going on 16 in august.I was never baptized as a baby,so my parents along with my Great aunt and two grmmas are having me baptized next sunday june 9th.They have taken total control over my baptism and told me i am going to wear the traditional,white baby girl style outfit!They bought me a sleeveless,white,very poofy,top of the knees,baby girl style dress with a matching bonnet from a website,then got me lace anklets and white 'mary jane' style shoes.My 'babygirl' underwear they got me is a sleeveless undershirt,cloth diaper with diaper pins,adult size plastic pants[rubberpants,as they call them] and a white satin ruffled panty to go over!Then they told me i am going to have a pacifier on a ribbon around my neck that i have to use for the ceremony and the rest of the day.They feel that since i am 15 going on 16,and boy crazy,that by dressing me as a baby it will send me a message that i am to remain pure and innocent untill i get married.I am not excited or looking forward to my baptism as it will be embarrassing being in front of the congregation during my baptism!
