Jennie Kirsch had already been in Vietnam for 2 years saving lives. She had been having an affair with an Army pilot flying airplanes with a Signal Brigade. On 16 Aug 1967, the two of them had an argument - she told him she had plans to head back to the States.

The argument escalated, and the Capt shot Jennie with his pistol as she ran from the hootch. He calmly walked back to his own hootch, and proceeded to put a bullet in his head....and is not walking around today. His name is listed on the Vietnam Wall - hers, sadly, is not.
