I know I received some care packages, I just can not remember any special care package or cards or anything that can be associated with Christmas.

We did have Christmas off and I was in the process of getting really drunk, along with several others up and down our hooch line, until a good buddy (legs just were not cooperating for him anymore) fell into a deep hole that had been dug for a new bunker. He may have broken his neck, he was not getting up. He was flown out of there never to be seen again. That ended my party.

Stayed sober on New Years Eve and what a show with all the flares, tracers, and what not going off. Glad I stayed sober to see this.
