I was angry more than joking around. I thought it pretty insane to think that with a few twigs in my helmet I would not be seen. Six foot six and the ten foot antenna pretty much made me an obvious target. The officer wanted to laugh but he was an officer and still did not know me that well. We were not robots and did not always do what we were told to do and to find any humor at all in Vietnam was a blessing.
