Silvia: Thank you for checking out some of our Vietnam War stories. It is true that many students, and adults, do not recall what the Vietnam War was about, just as many do not recall what World War II was about. The point of the hundreds of stories posted here underlines the cost of freedom, whether fighting to free Italy from Nazism during WWII, or today's Terrorist War, it is the same: Freedom Is Not Free. It is paid for with the blood of young men and women willing to step forward and defend our way of life from those who would take it from us.
