I was a squad leader with Kilo in this time frame. We had Bridge duty coming off Hill 10. Do not recall any KIA's but had WIA'S. Around July or August things got tougher at night with VC probing our positions. They eventually built a gun tower and sent tanks at dusk on both sides of bridge. There was a tent on the northside which was ventillated with AK and carbine rounds. We patrolled it before the Seabee's (can do), arrived. Remember the Kids fondly, GTO and Little Jim. I tossed grenades in the river so they could gather the dead fish. They would tell me when the VC were in their village near the bridge. Lost my 1st fireteam leader (WIA) and one of the best Marines I came across. Lima and India patrolled that Bridge also and they have their Company sites.

The Smoking Lamp is Out! Greg
